Far too often, we human beings focus our attention on what we do not have. In effect this means that we unconsciously walk around with one eye on what everyone else has ; no wonder we often trip and fall down on Life’s pathways. Jealousy and envy often accompany us on our daily sojourns and all our riches seem insignificant. No wonder most of us feel that we are drowning in the cess pool of LIFE.
Aughey, puts things in perspective and reminds us that we need to appreciate all that we have for there are many who do not have even a fraction of what we are blessed with. More insightfully, the quote tells us that we need to change our perspective of ‘our blessings’ for what ever we posses is a gift! Sometimes, the cruel blows that come our way tempt us to curse our fate and shatter our own self belief, but as time goes by and with the benefit of hindsight, we would realize that life had better plans for us. Sometimes failure is the best thing to happen to us, for it can change the course of our destiny – for the better.
Remember Edison and his pursuit of a 1000 different things he was forced to experiment with, before he came up with the filament for the light bulb. The rest is history as they say! Did a flashlight just show you the numerous blessings you have !!!! ???
